What is OTHM Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice?
- The goal of the OTHM Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice qualifications is to develop learners’ understanding of propositions and practices relating to their quality assurance part in education.
- It will supply knowledge that underpins the capability to work as an effective quality assurance practitioner. The units combine both theoretical and practical knowledge in the education profession and will evolve and enhance knowledge and skills in the areas of effective performance, planning responsibility and development.
- Successful completion of these qualifications will enable learners to gain an internal quality assurance part or to develop within that part, and to lead a team of internal quality assurance interpreters. Learners will also be suitable to work in a variety of other places within education administration and/ or operation.
Entry requirements
- OTHM Level 4 qualifications can be offered to learners age from 18. OTHM doesn’t define entry requirements for these qualifications. OTHM ensures that learners admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right position to take over the literacy and assessment criteria.
- OTHM Centres must insure learners are signed with integrity onto applicable qualifications that will meet their requirements, enable and grease literacy and achievement enable progression. The qualification is offered in English.

Equivalences
OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 4 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and capabilities that are assessed in academic terms as being original position to Higher National Certificates( HNC) and Year 1 of a three- year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
Qualification structure
The Level 4 Award consists of 2 mandatory units for a combined total of 12 credits.

Duration and delivery
The qualification is designed as flexible in its delivery to accommodate part- time and distance literacy. The qualification is delivered face- to- face, through lectures, tutorials, forums , distance, and online by approved centres only.
Assessment and verification
All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion- substantiated, grounded on achieving all the specified literacy issues.
To achieve a ‘ pass ’ for a unit, learners must give substantiation to demonstrate that they’ve fulfilled all the literacy issues and meet the norms specified by all assessment criteria. The Assessor makes the judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria.
The Assessor should give an inspection trail showing how the judgement of the learners ’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
