Objectives:

The NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is a further qualification for individuals who want to become qualified assessors in a vocational context. It builds on the knowledge and skills developed in the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement and provides a deeper understanding of the principles and practices of assessment.

Mandatory Units:

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement consists of 3 mandatory units having 84 GLH and 150 Hours TQT. Candidates must complete all of the following Mandatory units.

  • Unit 1- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Unit 2 – Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Unit 3 – Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
NVQ Level 3 Qualification Duration:

The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement can typically be completed in 3-6 months, depending on the mode of study and the individual’s pace of learning.

  • Unit 1 will be assessed through a variety of assignments.
  • Unit 2 will be assessed in a work environment, practically assessing learners’ work, you will produce work products and audio-visual evidence
  • Unit 3 will be assessed through your producing work products and audio-visual evidence after you assess learners in a classroom or training environment.
Progression

The Gateway Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment rather than assessing competence in a work environment.
